Talya Samy finishes in 8^th in Under-18 Girl’s Division

Egypt Men’s Team tied in 5^th, Girls Egypt Team in 6^th Team

Egypt’s Alieldin Salama, shot a final round 76 to finish tied 6^th in the Under-18 Individual Boy’s Division in the 54-hole African Amateur Junior Team Championship held at The Residence, Tunis, Tunisia Thursday 24^th – Saturday 26^th April, 2025.

After the round of the week, a 67 in round one, 15 year-old Salama had rounds of 82 and 76 to be the leading Egypt player in the field. No other Boy broke 70 over the 54-holes – illustrating the brilliance of his opening round.

In the Under-18 Girl’s Division, Talya Samy (Egypt) finished with an 80 to finish in 8^th place overall.

Omar Hany, Mohamed Rabie and Abdelrahman El-Dafrawy (Final round 77) all played in the Egypt Team as did Nour Ehab, and Lily Kasem.

 

Team Egypt were accompanied by the Head of Delegation Ahmed El Shalkany and Egyptian National Coach Steve Burton.

Burton said of the trip, ‘The highlight of the rip was Ali Salama’s 67. What a round. We came tied 5^th in the Boy’s Team and 6^th in the Girl’s Team. We have seen some good signs and hope to build on some initiatives that we have been working on.’
