The GEZIRA SPORTING CLUB AMATEUR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2019

For the Dr. Nour ElDin Tarraf Trophy

(EGF order of merit tournament)

Friday 20th and Saturday 21st of December 2019

This year Gezira Sporting club will be hosting the Gezira Open Amateur Golf Championship to be played over two 18 hole rounds on December 20sth and 22 and 21^st 2019

This tournament is open to members of all EGYPTIAN golf clubs amateurs men and ladies with current handicaps.

The championship format is stroke play over 36 holes over 2 days.

The winner will be the player returning the best gross score over the 36 holes.

Prizes will be awarded by the GSC for the first 2 places gross and the first 2 places net.

Additionally there will be a prize for the best ladies score.

Ladies are eligible to win both best gross or net prizes in addition to the best ladies score.

In the event of a tie the winner for the gross prize will be decided by sudden death play off beginning on the first hole, for the net prize winner will be decided by countback.

This competition will be played in accordance with the rules of golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Club of St. Andrews and the Gezira sporting club local rules

Any disputes concerning the rules will be referred to the Gezira golf committee whose decision will be final.

Men with handicaps over 18 will play off 18

Ladies with handicaps over 24 will play off 24

All entries to be made before Tuesday 17of December  2019 at 5 PM

Entrance fee is LE 370 per person for all players including green fees for the 2 tournament days.

Green fees for practice round LE 60 per player per 18 holes on Thursday 19th of December 2019 .

For non GSC members entry to the GSC will be free of charge from the 19th to the 21st of December 2019
