Competitions for the second round of the Egyptian junior Masters organized by the EGF headed by Eng. Ayman Hussein and held at the Katameya Dunes Golf Club will start tomorrow, Friday, for two days.
The Tournament is witnessing competitions for the 13, 15 and 19 years of age which were created by the EGF in order to broaden the base and develop the junior sector by organizing their own Tournament series to be played throughout the season.
The EGF was able to obtain the right to allow the Egyptian junior to enter the Global Junior World Ranking through the results that they will achieve in the Egyptian junior Masters Tournament, this is a first for the Junior Game in Egypt.
The EGF also approved these tournaments will act as qualification events for the selection of players for National Team Junior events.
Each round of Egyptian junior Masters rounds will be a separate stand-alone tournament in terms of in-kind prizes that the EGF will present to the winners of each round in order to further encourage the growth of Junior competition.
The first round was held at the Palm Hills Golf Club and witnessed a good turnout by Boyd and Girls which has encouraged the necessity to continue this programme to develop competitive Junior Golf in the country.
